Spring Portraits in the Park | Freedom Park Family Photographer

I can’t stress enough how much I LOVE photographing this family.  Jamie, who owns & operates Ring My Neck, is so much fun, super stylish (yes, she DID score some Missoni for Target for baby Whitney!) and sweet to boot!  Check out the Ring My Neck Facebook Page - a lot of women at maternity sessions lately have been wearing their wedding rings on their beautiful chains from Ring My Neck.  Not only are they functional by allowing you to wear your wedding ring when your fingers are swollen during pregnancy, they are super stylish as well.

Being the style maven that she is, Jamie brought the MOST adorable bow for Whitney to wear during the photo shoot.  Unfortunately, Miss Whitney doesn’t have a penchant for the large bows mom likes to put in her hair – but she graciously allowed it to stay on for a few shots.  Thanks Whitney:)

Jamie’s husband, Alan, couldn’t have been more excited to be missing March Madness basketball for this photo-session.  I kid.  But, being the kind and generous photographer that I am – I got him home by halftime (I hope).  And, the photos go to show – even a guy who is missing sports CAN enjoy a photo shoot with CMT Photography.

Thanks Jamie, Alan and Whitney for choosing me to photograph your sweet family!  Cheers!

Growing Families | Charlotte NC Family Photographer

One of the BEST parts of my profession is that I get to watch families grow!  I met this fun family at an event at Carolina’s Medical Center when they were opening their new maternity floor.  It has been so wonderful photographing Shelley from her pregnancy, to their first family photos, to now her sweet daughter’s 9-month portraits.

At 9 months, Elsie has such a vibrant and curious personality already!  She loved exploring the park, hanging out with her big sister Rylee, crawling around and especially trying to eat the leaves.  We found out that the best way to make her laugh is when her mom told her “No!”  Uh-oh, that is great for photos but could spell trouble in her teenage years.

Caine especially wanted to get a photo of Elsie on his shoulder’s, since he loved the one I snapped at the maternity session with his daughter Rylee.  Love these father-daughter moments!  Thank you Shelley and Caine for allowing me to capture these memories for your family!

Friends Forever | Weddington NC Family Photographer

This may or may not ever happen this quickly again – but I had the most wonderful session this morning and felt the need to post ASAP. :)  Also, I wanted them to get a small sneak peak before they got busy with all of the holiday festivities (turkey cookies, anyone?).

Let me just say that it was such a privilege to meet up with these two moms.  I love the fact that they are such great friends even though they are seperated by about 787 miles (yes, I looked that up!) and so are the kids!  And I love even more that they are planning to surprise their husbands with some of the pictures from today’s shoot.

With 6 children (5 of them boys) I did have to resort to a little “potty humor” to crack some smiles, but it was well worth it.

The kids also taught me the Who Dat chant. :)  Hope your Saints win tomorrow!

Enjoy the sneak peak and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
