My Top 3 Favorite Photography Locations in Greater Charlotte:
1. Freedom Park - Great location for all portraits. Children, family, pets, engagement and seniors! 98 acres, near Uptown. The lake area is beautiful and I love the bridge. The playgrounds are so fun for the kiddos! There is also an old train that is a great backdrop for portraits. If you are new to the area or haven’t had the chance to check it out – it is a definite must see (bring a picnic – it is an ideal picnic spot!).
2. Colonel Francis Beatty Park – This is a park in SE Charlotte. Very convenient to Ballantyne and Weddington. Another great location for all portraits. Children, family, pets, engagement and seniors! This is my local park and I love spending the afternoon here. There is a scenic lake area which looks like it came straight out of a Monet painting (especially in the mornings, when the reflections are breathtaking!). Also notable are a very colorful playground area a sand pit that is great for building sandcastles.
3. Charlotte Knights Stadium - This is where my husband and I had our engagement photos taken. We are bigtime sports fans, so it was a natural choice. This is a great location for older kids (4+) and engagement photos for sports fans. There is a merry-go-round! who can resist that?! Not me! *Note: This location isn’t always available for portraits. It takes some finagling, which I am happy to do for a great portrait.
Wait, there’s more! In the Fall we can meet at a Pumpkin Patch or corn maze. Your favorite park. Uptown. Your college campus. Historic downtown Matthews. By the train tracks. I can also come to your home and photograph right in your backyard! I will customize each location so that it fits your personality and the look you would like for your portraits.
